3A Composites and Polycasa at SMM 2016

During the 06th and 09th September 2016 the SMM in Hamburg – the leading international maritime trade fair – opened its doors for a huge number of visitors. More than 2,200 exhibitors from 66 nations displayed themselves on more than 93,000 square metres of exhibition space. And with around 50,000 industry visitors coming from 124 countries the leading maritime trade fair welcomed its most international range of visitors ever.

As the market-leading supplier of composite material 3A Composites GmbH was one of these exhibitors and presented on booth No.B7.604 in hall B7 alongside the world-famous products ALUCORE®, ALUCOBOND® and HYLITE®, moreover the innovative lightweight foamboard KAPA®tech. KAPA®tech features the pioneering composition of PUR foam and aluminium skins that combines light weight with rigidity, which is now also certified according to IMO (MED - steering wheel) and offers the shipbuilding industry new possibilities in the field of lightweight construction.

Since April 2015, the product portfolio has been extended by Polycasa with a wide choice of plastic sheets, made of a variety of materials: polyester, polystyrene, polycarbonate, SAN, and cast acrylic, which has also been presented.
