ATHLONExtrusions™ ABS is an engineering thermoplastic material with excellent impact strength used in areas where toughness and durability are of key importance. Produced in an infinite range of colours, finishes and textures. Excellent processability with a wide thermoforming temperature window. Product variants

B400

Very high impact designed for an optimum performance combining easy processability with excellent mould definition. Exhaustive list of applications including parts for the automotive and industrial sectors. High gloss to extra matt finishes in smooth and textured.

B250

High heat ABS engineered for applications where a higher heat deflection temperature is required. Available in the same wide variety of finishes and matt levels as B400 series.

B360P

Electroplating grade with a high gloss finish. Extremely high impact strength and improved chemical resistance with a wide operating window for thermoforming.

B300IR

Ignition resistant ABS, registered to vertical burn test classification UL94 V,0. Available in matt in a wide range of colours and textures. Suitable for many automotive applications where improved ignition resistance is required.

B150

Recycled ABS grade range, combining an economic solution where the optimum physical properties of ABS are not as important. Several colours and a wide range of textures and matt levels available. Commonly used in less critical applications including carriage media and vehicle cladding. Can be offered with identification stripes where necessary.

ASAB300

ASA capped ABS providing very high impact properties with A face UV stability to enable permanent use outdoors. Offered in an infinite array of colours and a wide range of textures in several matt finishes. Also available in a multi-layer sandwich construction to give B-face UV stability for a complete UV sheet solution.

B401FOIL

Decorative foils in PVC, PVDF and PMMA laminated on high impact ABS. Wood finishes and various effects including metal and faux carbon-fibre, fully thermoformable and demonstrating high impact strengths and UV stability. A wide variety of applications from doors to roof-boxes and seat-backs to motorcycle accessories. The PVDF range provides a greater chemical resistance and “anti-graffiti” capabilities.

B401SOFT

TPU co-extruded on ABS presenting a soft feel with extremely low matt levels, excellent impact strength and good scratch resistance. Fully thermoformable and recyclable, available in various textures and in a multitude of colours with excellent under glass stability. Also available in a recycled alternative for less critical applications such as carriage media or protection panels.
